Functional and Integrative Nutritionist
CRYSTAL WASILAUSKY, M.S., CNS Candidate, INHC, E-RYT 500
I have always had a passion for nutrition and nourishing myself with whole foods and alternative ways to healing. I too suffered from gastrointestinal conditions, food sensitivities, and excess weight in my late 20’s and early 30’s. I was very confused and frustrated with conventional doctors, and I knew deep down from my roots growing up that food is medicine. Our bodies our amazing and they have the ability to heal when they are optimally functioning with the right balance of nutrients. After my 2nd son was born in 2012 with food sensitivities, it was a turning point for me in seeking out healthier foods. I began to slowly transition my growing family into enjoying a variety of nutrient dense foods that were alive and vibrant!
I take a whole-body approach to nutrition, health, and wellness. I can help you heal your gut, balance your hormones, your blood sugar, and improve the quality of your life by offering personalized evidence-based nutrition. I help women and men identify the root causes of their symptoms to heal from chronic disease and to understand how to make lasting lifestyle changes. I specialize in GI disorders, hormone balance, autoimmune conditions, and metabolic syndrome.
I have a Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health. I am currently working toward my professional credential as a Certified Nutrition Specialist. I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I am also an E-RYT 500 yoga and meditation teacher. In addition to working with my clients, I teach yoga, I have led nutrition-based workshops within my community, and I have created and launched several on-line health and wellness programs.
In my spare time you can find me with my husband, 3 boys, and dog, practicing yoga, experimenting with healthy recipes, and walking.
